The Islamic Charitable Projects Association publishes this policy in accordance with Lebanese Law 81/2018 on the protection of personal data.
1. Contact Form Data
When you send a message through our “Contact Us” form, we collect your name, a contact method (email address or phone number), an optional subject, and the body of your message. This data is stored in our secure database and used solely to respond to your enquiry. It is not shared with third parties. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the email address below.
2. Newsletter Data
Subscribing to our newsletter requires providing your email address or consenting to WhatsApp contact. We retain a record of consent (subscription date and source). You may unsubscribe at any time by contacting us by email or WhatsApp; your address will be removed from our list upon confirmation.
3. Error Monitoring (Sentry)
We use Sentry to monitor and diagnose application errors. Sentry may collect technical details such as the page URL and browser information, but does not collect personally identifiable information such as name, email address, or IP address in normal operation. Data is governed by Sentry's terms of service and privacy policy.
4. Location and Notification Permissions (Projects App)
The Projects App requests permission to access your geographic location to display local prayer times and the nearest mosques. It also requests notification permission to remind you of prayer times. Both permissions remain in your control: you may revoke them from your device settings at any time. Location data is not sent to our servers.
5. On-Device App Data
The Projects App saves usage data (such as your lecture listening history) locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to our servers and is not shared with third parties — unless you sign in with an account and use the synchronisation described in the next section.
6. Optional Accounts and Synchronisation
Every worship feature of the app — prayer times, qibla, Quran, adhkar, and the zakat calculator — works fully without any account. Creating an account is entirely optional and constitutes your consent to the following.
When you create an account we hold: your email address (with the authentication provider), your display name, your avatar URL if provided, and your language preference. While you use the app signed in, the following personal data is synchronised with our servers so it is available on all your devices: your favorites, your lesson progress, your Quran reading position, your personal awrād and tasbeeh counter, and your selected city. This data is used for no other purpose, is not shared with third parties, and is never linked to analytics or error monitoring.
Signing in with Google: doing so shares your name, email, and avatar with us as provided by your Google account; Google's own privacy policy applies to that part.
Your rights: at any time you may download a complete copy of your account data (the “Download my data” button on the account page) or permanently delete the account from the same page — the account and all its synchronised data are deleted immediately, with copies persisting in dated backups until their retention period ends. On shared devices we recommend the “sign out and clear this device” option, which wipes locally stored data without affecting your account.

For any enquiry or request regarding your personal data, please contact us through the “Contact Us” form or via the Association's official email address.
8. Audience Measurement (Google Analytics 4, Meta, and LinkedIn)
With your consent only, we use third-party analytics tools to measure our audience and improve the site and app's content: Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram), and LinkedIn Insight Tag. Their purpose is measuring visits and content engagement, and measuring the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns (campaign attribution).
Through their own cookies, these tools receive technical information only: the pages you visit, and device/browser signals (device type, browser, and language). These tools never receive any account data — not your email address, your name, your avatar, or any synchronised data such as favorites, lesson progress, your Quran reading position, or your personal awrād (section 6 above): that guarantee is unchanged by this section in any way.
The legal basis for this use is your explicit consent (the consent banner shown on your first visit), under Lebanese Law 81/2018. The scope of this section covers the entire website and the Projects App together — there is no distinction between the site and the app in this commitment.
You may review your decision or withdraw your consent at any time using the control below:
Withdrawing consent immediately stops any new tool from loading, but it does not automatically delete cookies these tools already set on your device beforehand — to delete or control those directly, visit each vendor's own page: Google Analytics opt-out, Meta ad settings, and LinkedIn retargeting opt-out.
